About Katie Leimkuehler
Katie is a master storyteller who delivers an inspiring and motivating message to her audience by connecting their personal experiences with key tailored principles to enhance their daily lives. Her vast experience as an executive coach, journalist, marketer, author and professor has helped shaped her dynamic message for any audience.
Katie is an executive coach and leadership trainer and facilitator, who helps businesses and individuals capitalize on their goals. She has been coaching for nearly a decade and has her executive coach certification from the Center of Executive Coaching.
She is the executive producer of the documentary, “Fresh Tracks,” featuring her grandfather who was one of the first adaptive skiers in the U.S. Her film was accepted into the Vail Film Festival, Denver Film Festival, Twin Cities Film Festival and the Vancouver Independent Film Festival where she was a finalist for Best First Time Filmmaker. She received the Film Award from the International Skiing History Association and was awarded Northeast Ohio Movers & Shakers Top 25 Under 35 Award. Additionally, her short film, ” Ski Pioneer” based on the screenplay she wrote about her grandfather won Best Documentary at The Three Minute Film Fest. Katie has been a contributing writer to several publications including Social Media Examiner, Business 2 Community, Startup Grind, Social Media Today, The Sun Times, Built in Colorado and Technori. Previously, she was a Professor of Social Media and Public Relations at the University of Denver’s graduate communication program and prior to that was a journalist at the Chicago Tribune.
Katie has her MFA in writing from Roosevelt University and her BA in journalism and creative writing from Miami University of Ohio. She is the author of the second book series in the Shy Town Girls- Ivy. Her TV pitch for Shy Town Girls landed her in the Long List of the 2013 Fresh Voice Pitch Contest.
